The conference "Power and policy in early modern times" has been organized at the Institute of History of the University of Lodz since 2010. So far, two editions of this cycle have been held (2010: "Power and policy in early modern times"; 2019: "Power and policy in early modern times. Diplomacy and internal affairs").

The aim of these meetings is to create a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences and to present the results of the latest research in the field of broadly understood political and social history of Poland and the general history of the 16th–18th centuries. The originator and main organizer of this project is prof. dr hab. Zbigniew Anusik, head of the Department of Early Modern History, University of Lodz.
